Margot Lasalle sculptor from Kreiz Breizh exhibits at "Le Grand Palais" in Paris...
Located in the charming town of Plourac'h, there is a prestigious place dedicated to be the art of sculpture, where the artist Margo creates captivating works. Sculptor at the Vallée des Saints in recent years, she as developed a unique style that reflects both tradition and sculptural innovation.
Recently, Margot participated in a prestigious competition organized by Art Capital, intended for artists under thirty years old. During this event, nine talented artists were selected to represent their work, including Margot, who chose to highlight a deeply touching sculpture on the theme of motherhood, entitled Encorpé. This atypical work represents a pregnant woman, depicted without arms or head, thus evoking a constrained body.
This representation raises a poignant paradox between the sweetness of motherhood and the brutality of certain realities.
Made from kersanton, an emblematic stone of Brittany, this sculpture is distinguished from classic granite by its absence of quartz. The kersanton is offen used in the region for the construction of bell towers and calvaries, thus anchoring Margot's work in the local cultural heritage, while addressing universal themes linked to life and the human condition.
